Everyone listens to music on a daily basis, but how much time  and money is spent on music. 

                                            According to a Nielsen study on everyone listens to music, but how we listen is changing; Americans spend more than 25 hours each week listening to music. 

Among the U.S population, 93% listen to popular music. According to the Nielsen study, Americans spend a majority of their time listening to music. The difference is how we tune in with our music regarding earbuds or headphones. 



Listening to music among Americans is quite popular, however though; how we spend our money on music is changing as time goes on.

According to the Nielsen study though, Americans spend the most money on music when it comes to live concerts. Followed then by buying music in a variety of forms like cds, digital, gift cards and etc. 



With each year, more Americans not only listen to music more, but more and more Americans stream music each year. 

Streaming among Americans have gone up each year during the time of the Nielsen study.

Vinyl sales has also rose from the year 2013 to 2014.

Between streaming and vinyl sales the increase has been dramatic for music in the U.S.
