December.5, 2017 In the past five years world wide, music genre has gradually gone up and down among different regions in the world.  The different genre of music ranges between country to pop to punk to hip/hop music and varies depending on the area of region in the world that listen to a specific genre of music the most. Each region in the world has a specific genre of music that is preferred as well as two genre of music that is preferred due to a close tie among the variety of music genres. 

December.3, 2017 According to MSU student Elena Nguyen music has influenced her in a variety of ways. The two biggest aspect to how music has been influenced is through her personality and fashion wise, Nguyen said. An artist that has been a big influence during her adolescence stage was Tyler the Creator , Nguyen said. "When he first started out he was really dark." "As he grew as an artist, so did his music and he became more positive and so did his music," Nguyen said. Nguyen got to see Tyler the Creator's growth and has helped her to further develop her personality, Nguyen said. "I feel like I have grown with him and have gone through these different stages with him," Nguyen said. Music festivals and concerts has also helped her to further develop her personality and is one of her favorite things to do, Nguyen said. "One of my favorite music festivals is Electric Forest ," Nguyen said.

December.3, 2017 Music has been around for centuries now and has been influential towards people in a variety of ways. One of the most common music influences is found in adolescences.  Some of the music influence can be found in a person's personality or even through their fashion . All in which help people to express who they are and their likes. Music is there for both the good and bad moments in life. Music has even helped people through tough situations so they didn't feel alone. Music has an impact of connecting people through emotions and is a powerful form of art.
